Adobe acrobat reader X
What a pile of cxxp. Slow, buggy, prone to freezing and even a bit of a PITA to remove from my PC. Thankfully with a bit of digging I got a link for v9. Maybe it just doesn't like Win7(64)?

I use Foxit at home although Brava Reader is pretty cool - I use that at work for files which most other PDF viewers will simply refuse to open. Only downer is that it expires every 3-6 months and you have to download a new copy.

9 Seems fine so why x is so bad I'm not sure. Trouble is of course being Adobe it's prone to nagging me to update but I put a stop to that.
It's mainly for reading motherboard manuals so I need to skim quickly through data and X was just so mind numbingly slow for no apparent reason.
Windows 7 64 bit can still be a bit quirky but with the BIOS update on the Shuttle, stable Realtek HD sound drivers replacing the terrible v2.65 ones and the buggy power management setting in the BIOS disabled it's generally ok. It's memory management suits my lazy habit of not shutting down programmes so I can have two games running along with browser, Winamp, Mail and a reader with a 2gb document open and still have RAM to spare. It almost makes paying for it all a bit less painful.

Trouble is of course the better technologies don't always win although I wouldn't shed a tear if they did push out PDF files they will need a good conversion process as they are so wide spread. From what I remember a lot of Universities and Colleges use them as an on-line study resource for students as well as the usual technical manuals and instruction books for anything computer related.
