Microsoft Internet Explorer vunerability

Well this is nasty.

Governmental warnings that include a suggestion to download an alternate browser?  Not that I've used IE myself in years but that seems below the belt to me even as a Firefox fan.

Re: Microsoft Internet Explorer vunerability

I think some other programmes still actually use it which is sort of worrying but I'm not sure to what extent.  I notice that screenshots of games from Steam open in an IE window and Electronic Arts used to use it for their gaming lobby service. hmm

Re: Microsoft Internet Explorer vunerability

Many "corporate" products are built on the back of it, and won't work unless it's installed. McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator, its corporate anti-virus centralised control system, is such a product, for example.
