Anybody recommend a good uk based web site hosting company (or a truly independent review site).
It's difficult to tell which review sites are genuine as many clearly are biased.

I am creating a site for a small company, it is less than 20mB and bandwidth required is not likely to be huge.
A wish list includes:

Server side scripting
PHP
mySQL

I was looking at Easyspace.com who've had bad reviews in the past seem to have got their act together.

I'd love to use Virgin but the wouldn't want to infringe the T&C's.

I was very impressed by the service from fasthosts.

I should add that I was actually leaving them to goto 1and1 because at the time I could get the services I needed for a good bit less with them, but I made some mistakes when I was cancelling my account, the year rolled over and as per the contract I was then obliged to pay the full year. They were understanding and polite and cancelled the year despite it being my mistake they let me off and refunded me.

I would recommend www.speedhosting.co.uk i have used them for several years I find 1&1 very confusing at times

I've gone for 1and1 I emailed them with a couple of questions and they response was quick

Speedhosting, although a UK weg address they seem to be operating out of a single datacentre in Houston and I eeally want a UK operator.
