R.I.P. Edward Woodward

I prefer to remember him from Callan and the excellent film Breaker Morant but many will know him best from the more recent Equalizer.  He'd been ill for some time and passed away aged 79 in hospital. By all accounts a lovely man.

Yes, him and Russell Hunter as Lonely made a great pairing.
Always headed straight for the transport cafe when callan was on as the owner put it on the telly in the back room for us drivers.
We would sit and scoff our egg and chips while watching it.


It is better to be silent and thought of as a fool than to open your mouth and confirm it!
