Virgin Media WebMail powered by Google

I accidentally stumbled across a change recently when logging onto webmail from a public PC that would suggest Virgin Media may be looking to Google for their new Mail platform.

At present it seems the new URL http://webmail.virginmedia.com automatically forwards you to Google Mail's login page which I thought was peculiar.

Wonder if there will be an announcement regarding this as there was talk a while back of new e-mail addresses etc which seemed to go quiet.

Try clicking on the link from here.  It takes me to the Blueyonder webmail option.

Sky webmail uses Gmail - although they at least skin it.

The Gmail platform is great, so that would be cool... That said, I use Gmail not the BY address anyway wink

Re: Virgin Media WebMail powered by Google

Virgin told us that they were migrating their email service to Gmail some time back! And it's been gmail based for a while now. Only recently though has it been jigged to look exactly like Gmail.

big_smile Look at the date of BG's post.  This got bumped back up because of a naughty spammer you see and even though we haul his post off to the secret spam locker it leaves the bumped thread in place.
